Yacht painting in Thailand, from our Ocean Marina base
In Thailand, Superyacht Painters works through Yacht Refit Asia Co., Ltd., based at Ocean Marina in Na Jomtien, Sattahip, on the Eastern Seaboard near Pattaya. From here we deliver superyacht painting, fairing, paint repairs, GRP and composite work and refit project management for yachts over 30 metres, both at the marina and at yards elsewhere in the country, including Bangkok.
Thailand has been part of our story for many years. Our Thailand project record covers full repaints, new builds and complex repairs, and the same team now also operates from our Singapore head office at ST Marine Engineering and in Haiphong, Vietnam.
“Their painting and repair services consistently meet and exceed superyacht standards, a level of quality demonstrably rare within the Asian region.”
Captain Paul Stanton, M/Y Victon 41 m & M/Y Asian Poseidon 40 m · Thailand
Based at Ocean Marina, Jomtien, near Pattaya

Our Thailand branch sits inside Ocean Marina Jomtien at Na Jomtien, Sattahip, on the Gulf of Thailand coast just south of Pattaya and about 90 minutes from Bangkok. Ocean Marina describes itself as Southeast Asia’s largest marina and Thailand’s largest marina resort complex, with around 450 berths behind a 1.5 km breakwater, a dedicated superyacht berth, hardstand and a boatyard with straddle-carrier haul-out. It holds Platinum 5 Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready accreditation from the Marina Industries Association.

For owners and captains this means paint repairs, fairing and refit work can often be carried out while the yacht lies at her berth or on the hardstand, with our team on site rather than mobilising from elsewhere. Yachts visiting Pattaya, Jomtien or the eastern Gulf of Thailand can be inspected quietly at the marina before any programme is agreed. Yacht Refit Asia is listed among the marina’s on-site tenants on Ocean Marina’s own website. Enquiries: info@yachtrefitasia.com.
Paint repairs and metallic blending at Ocean Marina

Not every yacht needs a full repaint. On M/Y Victon, 41 m, at Ocean Marina we carried out repairs and extensive painting work, including blending of metallic finishes. Metallic and effect finishes are among the least forgiving to repair, because the colour and orientation of the pigment must match the surrounding paint at every viewing angle. Good results depend on accurate colour identification, careful masking strategy and an applicator who knows the specific system.
Bangkok: superyacht refits and finishing work

Our Bangkok work includes M/Y Sea Pearl, 60 m, at Bangkok Dock, now delivered: she was faired and repainted in Alexseal yacht coatings across the whole exterior and the engine room, together with the underwater area, the swimming pool and a partial interior fit-out including furniture brightwork, all to a high superyacht standard. Alexseal finishing on large topsides like hers relies on boom-lift access. Also at Bangkok Dock, S/Y Merrymaid, the 34 m Camper & Nicholsons gaff cutter of 1904, received fairing repairs and a full Awlgrip repaint by roller, brush and tip. At Italthai Marine Shipyard we faired and painted S/Y Douce France, the 42 m VPLP-designed catamaran that was the world's largest sailing catamaran when she was launched in 1998. Painting in Thailand means working with heat, humidity and seasonal rain, so programme planning, environmental control and recorded application conditions matter as much as the paint itself.
“Thank you, Superyacht Painters for a great paint job against all the odds in Bangkok in tough conditions, hot and wet, yet you never faulted, you have transformed us into a beautiful yacht.”
