Don't Rush Perfection

Fairing compound on a superyacht cabin side

The most common cause of a dull or failing topcoat isn't the topcoat at all. It's what's underneath.

Fairing compounds and primers need their full cure time before the next screed (layer) is applied. We carry out regular Shore D hardness tests and keep compulsory records on every stage. Rush it and solvents get trapped, leading to shrinkage, print-through and loss of gloss months later. In tropical heat and humidity, controlling temperature, humidity and dew point matters even more.

That's why we monitor conditions on every project and never cut corners on cure times. A finish that lasts starts with patience.
