Choosing a refit yard in Southeast Asia
Owners looking for a refit or repaint in Asia are really choosing three things: a yard with the right capacity, covered space where paint can be applied in controlled conditions, and a team that can deliver a superyacht finish there. Below are the yards where Superyacht Painters at Yacht Refit Asia has an office or a delivered project. We only list what we can document. Yard capacities such as maximum length and haul-out limits are confirmed for each project on request.
| Yard | Our presence | Documented work |
|---|---|---|
| ST Marine Engineering, Singapore | Head office; authorised superyacht painting main contractor (2026) | 76m yacht in covered paint shed: blasting, full fairing, Awlgrip hull system, superstructure in International |
| Bangkok Dock, Thailand | Project yard | M/Y Sea Pearl, 60 m (Alexseal, delivered); S/Y Merrymaid, 34 m (Awlgrip, delivered) |
| 189 Shipyard, Haiphong, Vietnam | Vietnam office | Newbuild fairing and painting of three 33 m superyachts in Alexseal, with climate-controlled tenting |
| Ocean Marina, Na Jomtien, Thailand | Thailand office (Yacht Refit Asia Co., Ltd.) | M/Y Victon, 41 m: paint repairs and metallic blending |
ST Marine Engineering, Singapore

Our head office, Yacht Refit Asia Pte Ltd, works at ST Marine Engineering, where we became an authorised main contractor in 2026 for superyacht full fairing and painting, paint repairs and paint project management. The current programme is a 76m yacht in the covered paint shed. More on our Singapore page.
Bangkok Dock, Thailand
At Bangkok Dock we faired and repainted the 60 m M/Y Sea Pearl in Alexseal across the exterior, engine room, underwater area and pool, and repainted the 1904 Camper & Nicholsons classic S/Y Merrymaid in Awlgrip by roller, brush and tip.
“We all demand that perfect paint job, but unfortunately, wanting and achieving can be very different. We are delighted to say that the work completed by Superyacht Painters Limited on our Sea Pearl was outstanding and up there with the best.”
Captain Roy Cooper, M/Y Sea Pearl
189 Shipyard, Haiphong, Vietnam

Our Vietnam office is at 189 Shipyard, Dinh Vu Zone, Hai Phong, where we are fairing and painting three 33 m newbuild superyachts in the Alexseal system under climate-controlled tenting. See Yacht refit Vietnam.
Ocean Marina, Thailand
Our Thailand office is at Ocean Marina, Na Jomtien, Sattahip, one of Southeast Asia's largest marinas. Work here includes paint repairs and metallic blending on M/Y Victon, 41 m. See Yacht painting Thailand.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the best place to repaint a superyacht in Asia?
It depends on the yacht's size, where she is cruising, the window available and the covered space needed. We work at ST Marine Engineering in Singapore, at Ocean Marina and Bangkok yards in Thailand, and at 189 Shipyard in Haiphong, Vietnam, and can advise which suits your programme.
How long does a repaint take at these yards?
Programmes are set by scope and the yard window rather than the yard itself. Our Hyundai Yachts G40 new build in South Korea ran approximately eight months for full fairing and painting.
How do you deal with tropical humidity?
We apply full systems in climate-controlled tenting or covered paint sheds, and record temperature and humidity in our paint application reports so each coat goes on inside the manufacturer's window.
Which paint systems do you use at these yards?
Awlgrip and International (AkzoNobel), Alexseal, Jotun and Hempel. For example, Awlgrip and International on the current 76m programme at ST Marine Engineering, and Alexseal on three 33 m newbuilds at 189 Shipyard.
