FAST FAIR Light Weight Marine Epoxy Filler

Description

Fast Fair LW is a non-volatile, low-density two-component epoxy filler based on specifically modified epoxy. It has superior adhesion to steel, aluminium, GRP and composite materials, providing a faster application efficient system.

Low density, exothermic system and easy to sand. Advanced physical properties.

Recommend Use

For filling and fairing the surface to fill defects and provide a smooth even surface profile.
Suitable for use above and below the waterline, light engineering projects, including moulds for manufacture and fairing.

Properties:

Finish - Flat.
Colour - Brown.
SG - 0.71 grms/ltr.
Solid vol. - 99%.
Dry to touch - 2 hours approximately at 20C.
Dry to sand - 8 hours approximately at 20C.
Shore D. - 64~66.

Application:

Mixing:

Base - Brown 1 part by volume.

Converter - White 1 part by volume.

Thoroughly mix material to a uniform brown colour with no streaks in the mix.

Induction time - None.

Application - Fairing knife/blade and trowel.

Pot Life - 35 minutes at 25C.

Method - Apply the filler at 15-25 microns WFT. Sand between coats with P60/P80/P120 grit sandpaper. Remove all sanding residue before proceeding.

Substrate - Fast Fair LW should only be applied to a correctly primed surface with epoxy primer.

Thinners - Do not add thinners.
